When the first of Rockefeller Center’s buildings opened for business, it was known as the RKO Building, named after the film studio that was its lead tenant. Other early tenants included Walt Disney’s east coast operation, the William Morris Agency, Republic Pictures, producer Mike Todd, and Noël Coward.
