Red Dress Collection at Top of the Rock

Top of the Rock TM Observation Deck will display ten stunning red dresses from several years of The Heart Truth's Red Dress Collection, sponsored in part by Swarovski, to raise awareness about heart disease. Dresses, including those designed by Diane Von Furstenberg, Donna Karan, Carmen Marc Volvo, and Angel Sanchez, will be on display February 14 - 21 in the 67th floor Weather Room at Top of the Rock.

Valentine's Day at Top of the Rock

This Valentine's Day, Top of the Rock™ Observation Deck is partnering with Morrell Wine Bar & Cafe and Starbucks Coffee® to bring you a magical evening in the sky. From 7PM to 11PM on Saturday, February 14, Top of the Rock will offer a $40 premium ticket which will provide guests with sparkling wine, coffee and hot chocolate to enjoy against the romantic backdrop of the city skyline.

MS Climb to the Top

The New York City Chapter of the National MS Society will host Climb to the Top presented by Tishman Speyer on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at Rockefeller Center’s Top of the Rock™. This unique and only charity event of its kind in the New York Metro area is expected to draw one thousand participants who will climb 66 flights of stairs in the famed “30 Rock,” helping to raise awareness and vital funds in support of research and programs and services for people living with MS, their friends and families. Climb to the Top will also kick off MS Awareness Week, which will begin on March 2.

HSBC, "The world's local bank" and official Wimbledon sponsor, is bringing the authentic tournament experience to the heart of midtown Manhattan. Syfy Imagination Park at Rockefeller Center


From July 7th through July 12th, Syfy is turning Rockefeller Center into an oasis of imagination. See Rockefeller Plaza transformed with interactive set pieces inspired by the Syfy film "House of Imagination," including a including a Giant Viewmaster® and Larger than Life Lollipops.

Syfy is also providing free Wyfy internet access to the Rockefeller Center area for an entire year, making it easier than ever to explore, create, and Imagine Greater.

2009 Kitchen of the Year at Rockefeller Center

House Beautiful magazine brings to life its second annual "Kitchen of the Year," created with the Barefoot Contessa, Ina Garten, Food Network personality, best-selling cookbook author and House Beautiful Contributing Editor, from Monday, July 20 - Friday, July 24.

2009 Farmers Market by Ocean Spray

Rockefeller Center will once again be the midtown home of the famous New York City Greenmarket. The Farmers Market at Rockefeller Center, sponsored by Ocean Spray, will be open Wednesdays - Fridays July 29th - September 4th (50th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues), Manhattan. Each week, the Plaza will brim with fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers and baked goods, all from regional farmers. The weekly market is free and open to the public.

Ocean Spray Cranberry Bog

The breath-taking beauty of the cranberry harvest comes to New York City October 6-8, when thousands of pounds of cranberries and cranberry vines from Ocean Spray bogs arrive in Rockefeller Center creating a 1,500 square foot free-standing bog. The Big Apple Bog is free, and the public is invited to visit and learn first-hand about the taste, health and heritage of the cranberry from third- and fourth-generation cranberry growers.

White Collar Shirt Bar

On October 22nd and 23rd, USA Networks will present “The White Collar Shirt Bar” in the Channel Gardens of Rockefeller Center in conjunction with the premiere of the new original USA Series, WHITE COLLAR.

“The White Collar Shirt Bar” will be a pop-up experience offering men and women complimentary custom-fitted shirts courtesy of Thomas Pink. The event will be open to the public Thursday, October 22nd from 10 AM to 6 PM and Friday, October 23rd from 8 AM to 6 PM.

The event is inspired by the effortless style of WHITE COLLAR’s lead character Neal Caffrey, the world’s most fashionable ex-con, the network and Thomas Pink will create a unique opportunity to share a piece of Neal’s timeless wardrobe. Expert Thomas Pink tailors and in-house style consultants will measure and advise both men and women to select a “White Collar” shirt that reflects each visitor’s personal style. Halloween Spooktacular!

Top of the Rock welcomes children and families to a fun Halloween scene on Sunday, October 31, 2009, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM in the 67th Floor Observatory. Children can enjoy face painting, magic shows, crafts and sweet treats, and the whole family will enjoy the stunning, 360-degree panorama of New York City. Activities are free with admission.

Making of Team USA: 100 Days Out

MAKING OF TEAM USA: 100 DAYS OUT Wednesday, November 4th

The U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) and presenting sponsor Hilton Worldwide will kick off the 100-day countdown to the Opening Ceremony of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in grand fashion by turning New York’s Rockefeller Center into a winter wonderland on Nov. 4. Through Olympic sport demonstrations by all eight winter sports, appearances by Olympians and Paralympians and 2010 Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls, as well as various other sponsor activities, the USOC will awaken the excitement of the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and spotlight the individual journeys of athletes striving for spots on Team USA.

Carnival's Book of Dreams Event

Carnival to Bring World's Largest Book of Children's Dreams, Free Family Fun and Activities to Rockefeller Center

A series of free “Dream Big” family-oriented events at Rockefeller Center starts on Friday, November 6th with a celebrity reading (10:30 am) of the world’s largest children’s book inspired by dreams gathered from children across the country who sailed on Carnival Cruise Lines. On Saturday, November 7th, there will be book readings throughout the day, as well as a variety of fun activities for the whole family, including balloon artists, an acrobatic dance troupe, magicians and a coloring station. The larger-than-life, beautifully illustrated book pages will be on display for all to read throughout both events. The events are sponsored by Carnival Cruise Lines in celebration of the newest and grandest addition to its fleet, the Carnival Dream.

Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting Ceremony

The 2009 Rockefeller Center Christmas tree will be illuminated for the first time this holiday season on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, with performances from 7:00pm-9:00pm. The two-hour long program features various celebrity appearances and a star-studded musical lineup. The tree will be lit daily from 5:30 A.M.-11:30 P.M.; all day on Christmas (24 hours); and from 5:30 A.M.-9 P.M. on New Year’s Eve. The world's most famous Tree will be on display until January 7th, 2010.

36th Annual Tuba Christmas

Hundreds of tenor and bass tuba players will congregate on The Rink at Rockefeller Center on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. to play Christmas carols and other crowd favorites. The tubists of all ages will line up under the great Christmas tree and fill the area with the organ-line sound of low brass. Spectators will be encouraged to become an important part of the concert by singing along with the Christmas carols and famous songs.

Recruited from throughout the greater New York City area, the musicians will be conducted by Chris Wilhjelm, conductor of the famous Goldman band. Conceived by tuba virtuoso Harvey Phillips to honor his teacher, the late William J. Bell (Born Christmas Day, 1902), the first Tuba Christmas was presented at Rockefeller Center in 1974, conducted by Paul LaValle, of Band of America fame. This unusual Christmas tradition is firmly established in over 200 cities around the world
