Sushi lovers, rejoice! Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar, a branch of the acclaimed NYC-based restaurant group by chef-owner brothers Bruce and Eric Bromberg, has opened its doors on the Concourse level of Rockefeller Center, bringing an 11-seat sushi bar as well as a grab-and-go counter.
Crafted in collaboration with sushi chef Toshi Ueki, the menu offers top-notch nigiri, sashimi, donburi bowls and platters, as well as teas and sake, plus the new addition of Japanese breakfast bento boxes, which can be customized with your choice of a base, vegetables and fish. There will also be happy-hour specials on hand rolls and drinks.
Simple with clean lines, Japanese calligraphy artwork and shelves of Japanese imported goods, the space is likely to be hopping throughout the day, whether you're starting your morning, going for lunch or unwinding after work.
Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar is now open Monday–Friday from 8am to 9pm and Saturday–Sunday from 11am to 9pm in the Concourse. Elevators down to the Concourse can be found on either side of Rockefeller Plaza, on 49th and 50th Streets between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.
