The Top of the Rock experience is being reimagined and exciting new additions to the observation decks are on the horizon. During the construction period, Top of the Rock visitors will experience a limited-time, must-see installation featuring all local New York artists and inspired by the original vision of John D. Rockefeller Jr. and his wife, Abby Aldrich, who curated the original art of Rockefeller Center around a central theme: New Frontiers. Each artwork is interactive, making the guest its subject, demonstrating how our future is shaped by having you in it.
Beginning in 2024, guests will be able to follow in the footsteps of the ironworkers who constructed Rockefeller Center on the Beam Ride as they recreate the famous Lunch atop a Skyscraper photo. Upon the completion of the new Top of the Rock, an entirely new mezzanine level exhibit and theater experience will open and visitors will be able to soar 30 feet into the air on the Sky Lift delivering NYC’s only private, unobstructed 360-degree view.
While we are under construction (Beginning February 1, 2023), you can still expect the same fantastic views, but please note that access to specific areas may be limited while we work hard to bring new features to Top of the Rock.
