Move! at Rockefeller Center continues with a free NY Style Mambo workshop presented as part of Rockefeller Center’s collaboration with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
Join Ailey Extension instructor Katherine Jiménez and immerse yourself in the flirtatious energy and dynamic partnering of this fusion of New York and Cuban dance. Perfect for everyone, including beginners.
This free, one-hour guided dance session takes place from 11 AM to 12 PM on the Plaza at Rockefeller Center. Attendance is free, but RSVP is required.
Katherine Jiménez is an international dance performer, instructor, choreographer, and entrepreneur. Performing nationally and internationally, Katherine has shared the stage in venues like New York City Center, The United Palace, and Lincoln Center with artists such as Tony Vega, Johnny Pacheco, Andy Montanez, Marvin Santiago, Willie Colon, Charanga America, and many others. In addition to teaching, choreographing, and performing, Katherine has also been a judge for the World Salsa Summit, helping other dancers perfect their craft.
