Seven floors above Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Center hides two gardens.
For one afternoon each year, two of Rockefeller Center’s hidden rooftop gardens open to the public. As part of Open House New York Weekend, visitors are invited to explore 610 and 620 Loft & Garden, spaces typically reserved for private events. Seven floors above Fifth Avenue, these gardens offer a rare opportunity to experience Rockefeller Center from a different perspective, with sweeping views of Midtown and a unique vantage point overlooking St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
Come up, take your time, and stay at the Center for the rest of the day.
A historic garden with a reflective pool, hedged beds and seasonal plantings, set directly across from St. Patrick's Cathedral. From the edge of the terrace, the cathedral's spires sit at eye level and Fifth Avenue runs below. It's the view people come up for, and the one they photograph.
A light-filled loft opening onto a rooftop garden with panoramic views over Rockefeller Plaza. Quieter and greener, with lawn, plantings and room to stand and take in Midtown from above.
