Celebrate Pride at Rockefeller Center
The Pride Month celebration has become a staple of Rockefeller Center’s programming, playing a key role in ensuring there’s an inclusive and diverse space for all in the heart of Midtown.
Throughout the month of June, the Rockefeller Center campus is awash in signs and symbols of Pride with rainbow pathways, Pride flags surrounding The Rink, and vinyl decals decorating its spaces.
This year, Rock Center has partnered with NewFest, New York’s leading LGBTQ+ film and media organization, and Universal Pictures, to host movie nights throughout the month of June to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride. The screening series will kick-off with a free outdoor screening of Beeban Kidron’s cult queer classic, To Wong Foo,Thanks For Everything! Julie Newmar on Saturday, June 1 at 8pm. Screenings will take place the first four Saturdays of June. For the perfect opportunity for dinner and a movie, visitors can reserve a table at NARO or Jupiter, or enjoy the free first-come, first-served public seating.
- June 1: To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar
- June 8: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
- June 15: Fried Green Tomatoes
- June 22: Death Becomes Her (with an exclusive sneak peek of the new Broadway Musical!)
