The arrival of fall in NYC means more than changing leaves, Halloween, and all things pumpkin. It means the return of the Rink at Rockefeller Center! This Saturday, October 12, is opening day for the 2019/2020 ice skating season.
The Rink is open daily from 8:30am to midnight—see the schedule of 90-minute skate sessions here. October is a great time to beat the crowds and catch an off-peak rate.
You can also reserve for VIP admission and package deals, pairing skating with dining at Rock Center Café or The Sea Grill. For families during the holidays, there's Breakfast with Santa (beginning the end of November) and the festive combo of ice skating plus Rockettes tickets.
Meanwhile, early birds can book a First Skate session at 7am (or sign up for JoJo Starbuck's Cool Workout series). And for love birds, how about an Engagement on Ice?
If you're a beginner—or would love to finally learn proper technique—consider a skating lesson. You can read about the experience here. Or, if you live to lace up your skates, season passes are available.
The Rink is open October 12 through April 2020 on Rockefeller Plaza (between Fifth and Sixth Avenues and 49th and 50th Streets). See you on the ice!
