Update: The Love Above All Auction raised over $42,000 for The Ali Forney Center. Thank you to everyone who participated. And if you missed the auction, there's still time to nab a "Love Above All" pin!
Following up last year's Love Above All Ball, this year the Rainbow Room is hosting an online benefit auction leading up to Pride Weekend. Proceeds from all of the sales will go to The Ali Forney Center in NYC, which serves predominantly Black and Latinx teens by providing housing, medical and mental health and educational services for homeless LGBTQ youth.
To fire up the bidding, a number of celebrities have donated collectibles, including: Olympic medalist Adam Rippon's ice skates, Drag Race champion Bob the Drag Queen's costume, designer Jason Wu's signed fashion sketch, and autographed caricatures of Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn (as seen on Making the Cut). Dining experiences at the Rainbow Room and Frenchette, a House of Waris care package and a Milk Bar bundle are among the more than 30 items on the block. (And for something to suit lots of budgets, "Love Above All" enamel pins are available as well.)
Note: Please stand by for information on the format of Lady Gaga's signed Chromatica.
The Love Above All Auction begins June 18, and runs through the culmination of Pride Weekend on June 28 (at 6pm). Follow The Ali Forney Center here.
