Do I need a ticket to enter the Fan Village?

No, tickets are not required for general entry. The NYNJ World Cup 26 & Telemundo Fan Village at Rockefeller Center is free and open to the public. Some programming and events on The Pitch, including select soccer clinics, movie nights, and workshops, require advance registration due to limited capacity. Live match viewing is free and open to the public throughout the Fan Village.

The Fan Village will be open Monday, July 6 through Sunday, July 19, from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm on match days and 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on non-match days.

What should I know before arriving?

Accepted Answer

Everyone will be required to pass through a security screening, including magnetometer and bag checks conducted by the NYPD. Screening procedures will be similar to those used at stadium sporting events. Public access to the venue is available only through the designated entry checkpoints at 49th Street & 5th Avenue and 50th Street & 6th Avenue. There is no public entry from the Subway level. All visitors arriving via subway must use an exit to street level to enter the Fan Village. We recommend allocating additional time for security screening.

How do I access The Pitch and main viewing areas?

Please enter on 49th Street at the top of the Kate Spade stairs and look for the “Enter Here for Pitch Access” sign to enter the line. This area includes 21+ experiences, be prepared to show your ID for a wristband. Families and kids are welcome, anyone under the age of 21 years old will not receive a wristband. Access to The Pitch and main viewing areas is subject to capacity and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Where do I enter if I have a Top of the Rock ticket or a restaurant reservation?

All visitors with a valid Top of the Rock ticket or a restaurant reservation for that day will receive expedited security access available only through the designated entry checkpoints at 49th Street & 5th Avenue and 50th Street & 6th Avenue. Look for the “Express Entrance” sign and proceed through NYPD screening. There is no public entry from the Subway level. Bags Size Limit: All bags entering Rockefeller Center shall not exceed 16” x 16” x 8”. All bags will be subject to screening and search by the NYPD and Rockefeller Center security. Large duffle bags and suitcases prohibited. There is no bag storage or lockers available on site.

What items are prohibited?

For the safety of our visitors, the NYNJ World Cup 26 & Telemundo Fan Village at Rockefeller Center has a list of prohibited items which includes but is not limited to: Bags: Large duffle bags, suitcases are prohibited. Containers: Glass bottles, metal bottles, cans, thermoses, flasks, and coolers are strictly forbidden. Cameras and Equipment: Drones (UAVs), video cameras, tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks. Professional-grade cameras with detachable lenses longer than 10cm (approx. 4 inches) are prohibited. Large Items: Flags, banners and large posters are not allowed. Noise Makers: Vuvuzelas, whistles, air horns, and loudspeakers are not allowed. Hazardous Items: Weapons of any kind (including pocket-knives), fireworks, flares, and smoke bombs, explosives, detonators, work tools, helmets, lighters, matches, spray cans, etc. are strictly prohibited. Miscellaneous: Large golf size umbrellas, Chairs, Pets other than service animals, bats/batons, laser pens are not allowed. Restricted Messaging: Items displaying political, offensive, or discriminatory content are banned. Anyone found to be carrying a prohibited item may be refused entry to the Fan Village. Be sure to review the prohibited items policy before your visit.
