This fall, Rockefeller Center transforms into the fantastical world of artist Kenny Scharf with Scary and the Dancers!, a campus-wide public art exhibition presented by Art Production Fund and Rockefeller Center.

At the center of the exhibition is Scary, a monumental 34-foot-tall inflatable sculpture in Center Plaza, surrounded by six colorful “dancing” sculptures inspired by classic air dancers. The installation marks Scharf’s largest sculptural commission to date and brings his vibrant, Pop Surrealist style to Rockefeller Center just in time for Halloween.

The exhibition extends throughout campus with murals and sculptural works in the lobbies of 30 Rockefeller Plaza, 10 Rockefeller Plaza, 45 Rockefeller Plaza, and 50 Rockefeller Plaza, including an installation inspired by Scharf’s iconic Cosmic Cavern. More than 100 artist-designed flags will also fly above Rockefeller Center, bringing Scharf’s playful characters and bold imagery across the campus.
