Part of the citywide celebration accompanying BTS’s new album and world tour, the four-day takeover is expected to bring photo installations, live performances, themed treats, and interactive fan experiences to the observation deck at Rockefeller Center.

1. Explore the BTS THE CITY ARIRANG Takeover

July 31–August 3

RIRANG, the album BTS released this spring after finishing their military service, takes its name from Korea's best-known folk song: a centuries-old tune about parting and return. Rolling Stone called the record a "blockbuster return" on which "the world's biggest band stresses group identity and South Korean roots, while pushing the songs into adventurous new territory," and critics have singled out its opening run as a jolt back to the aggressive, hip-hop-driven energy of the group's earliest work. For four days, that album gets a home 70 floors above Manhattan.

The takeover spans three levels of Top of the Rock, pairing BTS-inspired programming with the panoramic views the deck is known for. Tickets start at $52 and cover admission to Top of the Rock, access to two dedicated photo moments, and a limited-edition keepsake photo card; a professional digital photo is available on request, and every ticket includes access to the BTS THE CITY digital Stamp Rally.

2. Visit Two Dedicated Photo Moments

67th Floor

Two BTS THE CITY ARIRANG installations will be available on the 67th floor: one indoors and one on the outdoor terrace.

Guests can also request a professional digital photo and receive a limited-edition keepsake photo card with their ticket.

Additional branded elements and interactive moments planned throughout the observation decks.

3. Hear Live Interpretations of ARIRANG

Local musicians and dancers are expected to perform interpretations of songs from ARIRANG throughout the four-day activation.

BTS music videos are planned to also play across nearby screens, with music featured throughout the Top of the Rock experience.

4. Try BTS-Inspired Drinks and Dessert

The Weather Room will serve a limited menu of ARIRANG-inspired drinks and dessert on the terrace adjacent to the primary outdoor photo moment.

5. Join the Digital Stamp Rally

Top of the Rock is an official stop on the BTS THE CITY ARIRANG NEW YORK digital Stamp Rally.

Guests can collect a digital stamp during their visit as they explore participating destinations and activities throughout the city. A valid Top of the Rock ticket is required to access the experience.

6. See SKYLIFT presented by Visa Light Up Red

SKYLIFT presented by Visa will feature a special red light treatment and THE CITY themed decor during the activation.

Guests can view it from the observation decks or add SKYLIFT presented by Visa to their ticket for an open-air ride above the 70th floor.

7. Explore BTS THE CITY Across New York

The celebration extends beyond Rockefeller Center with BTS-inspired experiences across the city from July 24 through August 3.

Fans can customize T-shirts and view a BTS performance-outfit exhibition at Grand Central Terminal, personalize light sticks and explore the ARIRANG Theater at the Korean Cultural Center New York, and shop the BTS POP-UP: ARIRANG IN NEW YORK in Chelsea from July 30th–August 3rd. Additional expected programming includes a special Big Bus tour, photo experiences, Stamp Rally stops, and food collaborations at participating restaurants and bakeries.
